Case Study for Pindrop

The Challenge

Pindrop was in search of an exhibit design partner that could provide a consistent, seamless look and feel to their exhibit space at the popular computer and network security conference, RSA. Over 50,000 attendees and industry leaders flock to this Downtown San Francisco event every year to discover valuable content presented by some of the industry’s most forward-thinking leaders.

Pindrop wanted to incorporate creative elements that would outshine competitors and prioritize brand messaging, elevating the overall image of the brand.

Challenges

Cost-effective space to educate attendees and show demos to a large seated audience
Large hanging structure and private meeting space
Incorporation of creative lighting aspects and a “brick” wall to symbolize strength and security
Inviting “outdoor” and “industrial” feel

The Solution

Exponents was brought in to assist with planning, design, and execution. Planning for the exhibit space included the creation of a movie theatre area with a large 2 x 2 monitor video wall where the client’s team could educate and inform attendees on their products and services.

The feeling of being outside while being inside an expo hall was particularly challenging, but Exponents’ design team rose to the occasion with a faux-concrete flooring combination and open-concept floor plan.

As the “brick” wall was a must to retain the brand’s symbolism, a fabric wall with printed brick images was incorporated as a cost-effective backdrop for the theatre. Additional printed brick and grass branding seamlessly flowed onto the other structures, including a bar that reminded visitors of being outside and a decently-sized private conference room.

The incorporation of a large window in the conference room simultaneously provided an open feel while still maintaining privacy. The areas outside of the conference room were creatively illuminated with an overarching canopy with built-in LED lights for the theatre and sleek hanging lamps for the bar.

The final touch was a hanging structure that was re-designed to break away from outdated branding that the exhibitor had used in past events. The 4-piece sign created a modern, multi-dimensional look that stood out among neighboring booths.

The Results

From design to execution on the show floor, the Exponents’ team worked under a tight deadline to successfully bring Pindrop’s ideas to life for the industry-leading event.

As a first-time client, the priority for Exponents was to ease the overall trade show and exhibiting experience and allow the exhibitor to confidently focus on what they do best, providing quality cybersecurity solutions.
